e movie started quite sadly when chiyo(played by ziyi) gt sold to e street of geishas.. they were seperated when each went to different hse of geisha.. sadly her sis managed to escape while she gt trapped in hers.. seeing tat she has no kin left (wif parents dead) she accepts her fate as a slave (due to her injuries during e escape which make her not a geisha potential)

tat is b4 she met a man on e bridge.. e man consoled her n bought her a cup of ice.. upon seeing 2 geisha by dis kind man, she set her mind on being a geisha so tat she could be near dis man whom they called e chairman.. things gt complicated and eventually she managed to be by her beloved..

e grown up chiyo chan.. aint she jus beautiful.. too bad cant see e blue eyes which is greatly mention in e flim..to me dis story is kinda twisted.. for in fact if u cut it down to e bone, its jus abt dis girl whu gt touched by dis man kindness when she was suffering and all, she kinda fall in love (i duno shld i use dis term but e meaning is somewhat dere..) n imagine u fast forwarding it all to e post ww2 days when americans took over japan.. hmm from a small child to a beautiful young lady to e most stuninng geisha in e district.. and end up head over tails wif a old man.. hmm.. like those ppl whu hold onto thier childhood fantasy..

but nonethless e story is touching, and its worth e watch.. considering it tat i paid 8 dollars... if 9.50.. hmm might consider..
