anyway watch hero jus now.. its more like a jap drama den a movie though.. but it really inspire me abt how we go about doing things.. its abt this manslaughter case which accused is a "witness" for a corruption case of an ex-minister.. while everyone link e 2 cases tgt, the prosecutor simply said, i only want to present the truth, and im prosecuting the suspect, not the ex-minister..

sometimes in life.. we do not need to make things so complicated.. one step at a time..

and when things come to a standstill, taking a breather (i tink i take too much though) and take a step back.. the picture may become clearer..

i tink i have been a relatively good boy this year.. i know i might sound naughty now trying to ask for an earli xmas present.. but i REALLI REALLI want and need it desperately..

IN CHINESE it goes smth like this Im calling from the singapore high court.. blah blah u are suspected to have funded criminal dunno wat.. when asked for details she say another officer will call n tell her.. YES tat officer is another f**king china national too.. guess wat.. say wat ocbc account is used to fund dunno wat.. and wat a stupid way of scamming.. instead of choosing some common posb account he choose to say ocbc which obviously my mom dun have.. and e argument given, e criminals might have opened e account in ur name.. WOW so now u jus need a name to open a bank account? wonderful..

yes the case is reported to the police.. WTF scam using sg high courts.. i know its nt right to generalize for the whole chinese population.. but den.. they really piss me off.. their money grabbing antics and their kiasuism is really over e top...

I wanted to get a new camera for the anti-shake becos its really good esp for some night shots n those no flash shots.. my camera sucks at those.. it kick in to me when i used my frd's canon ixus.. e non-flash is so sharp n fine tat it really surprises me.. it occur to me wat im missing out..

this camera is the conventional point n shoot camera with not much manual control other den white balance n exposure.. (e usuals) as much as i would like to get one with more manual controls esp in aperture n shutter speed to learn more.. (e price goes up too..) i tink i might not migrate tat fast.. if possible i would definitely love to get a dslr n play lo..

reading thru reviews.. (im supposed to be completing my tutorials!!) seem like its too advance for its own good.. e noise reduction actually smear e details of pictures at iso200 and higher.. tats not v pleasing to note..

today was my "return to army camp like those uncle" day..

wat a bad day it is..

as i set off to sch w/o my umbrella.. it gotta rain onli after i left e shelter..

and den.. my mp3 decided to go flat on me halfway to sch..

tinking im too sensitive, it gt even worse when i alight e bus.. felt a super sharp pain at my left hip.. was basically limping my way from e overhead bridge to the lab.. onli when i going to reach lab den it stop hurting..

e pain returns after my lab though.. and then to my tutorial.. omigod.. i cant catch wat e tutor is saying clearly.. geez..

den on my way home.. waited for e bus for so long la.. zzz.. and den upon alighting at my place, trying to rush home n i take a BIG FALL.. BAM.. OUCH.. dirty my adidas windbreaker.. T_T

goodness gracious me.. lucky its e end of it all.. going back to camp is nth.. e briefing is all abt e stuff i wish i dun have to do it ever again.. n e ippt thingys also.. zzzz..

anyway paid a visit to some nsfs who are still there.. damn my understudy gt understudies liao.. tats like how old we are.. hahaha... saw some of e dxos.. e feeling is like us going back to our old sch to see our teachers.. wierd feeling.. haha but still.. its not bad going back once a while.. (hopefully not in this 4 yrs..)

oh yea used my super mini nokia8855.. brings back so many memories... my first pay became that.. after tat i used ngage n my current sharp903.. so its like a half-sized of e phones i used for e past 2 yrs.. abit not used but still SO CLASSY.. hmm mayb will use tat for sat dnd?

anyway i shld start dragging myself off e com n to my tutorials.. trying my best to avoid e distraction here and of cos from my psp.. Jeanne Darc so nice!!! I SHALL SURVIVE THIS HECTIC MONTH!!!

and all tat new gadgets n thingys... (did i mention showgirls? oops...) anyway.. despite e packness of it show.. its really a great place for me.. yikes.. so many temptations.. and wat a pack week i got..

Odex had "no right of civil action" against illegal downloaders!!!!!!

SINGAPORE : Anime distributor Odex had "no right of civil action" against illegal downloaders.

This is because it was just a sub-licensee and not the copyright owner or exclusive licensee for most of the anime titles sold here.

This is the rationale behind the court's surprise dismissal of Odex's bid to get Pacific Internet (PacNet) to disclose its customers' identities.

The judge's 13-page grounds of decision was released on August 24.

District Judge Earnest Lau also noted that Odex was also in no position to initiate criminal prosecution.

On August 23, the judge ordered the company to pay legal costs of more than $7,000.

The judge also expressed unease over the hasty manner in which Odex tried to go after some 1,000 PacNet subscribers.

In particular, he was not convinced of the investigation method it used to uncover the IP addresses and pinpoint the alleged wrongdoers.

Industry observers had expected the court to rule in Odex's favour.

This is especially after it had successfully forced two other Internet service providers, StarHub and SingNet, to hand over the data of those suspected of illegal downloading.

In its letters of demand, Odex is asking for $3,000 to $5,000 compensation and also hinted of criminal prosecution should the subscriber refuse to pay up.

But the judge said under the Copyright Act, "only the copyright owner and the statutory exclusive licensee … have the right to take action against copyright infringers".

He added that Odex appeared to be the exclusive licensee for just one title, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed.

Odex said it would be appealing against the judgement. - CNA /ls
